Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy (MBE) is a blending of Mindfulness and Ecopsychology. MBE uses nature to facilitate mindful awareness. MBE is used as a framework for helping individuals and families to find deeper connections in their own lives, and to give more meaning and enjoyment to the activities of daily living.
Jennifer Owens, LCSW is a certified ecotherapist, Yasei Forest Therapy Guide and experienced psychotherapist with Bridge. She is a leader in the field of nature connection in the southeast and will be your facilitator for this group.

Each session will dive into a MBE skill and practice which include:
Mindful Awareness, Radical Acceptance, Wise Mind and Wise Body, Letting Go, Living in the Now, Centering, Connecting, Nature as Metaphor, Nature as Teacher, Nature as Healer and Living in True Self.
Investment: $45 per session and $22o for all 6 sessions
Finding Safety Within – A Women’s Group
This group is an 8 week series of movement and discussion. This group will support the capacity to recognize and tolerate physical sensations in order to regain a felt sense of safety within in the body. Each group session will consist of body movement to increase awareness of sensations and feelings that are present in the body, followed by group discussion.
This group is especially helpful for women who have experienced trauma, who want to find a safe place in their body or who do not feel comfortable in a traditional yoga class/environment.
Thursdays 11:30-1:00, July 25th – September 12th.
Investment is $150 for entire 8 week series.
Facilitated by Melissa Stewart, a board-certified speech language pathologist, certified yoga therapist, and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) with specialized training in use of somatic touch work and Jennifer Owens, LCSW who is a social work clinical supervisor, ecotherapist and wellness director at Bridge.
