Cassie Baker LPCC-S, IMHP

Certified Brainspotting Practitioner/Therapist

Cassie Baker (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Brainspotting Practitioner who received her undergraduate training at Eastern Kentucky University, where she graduated with honors. She completed her Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in 2015 through Lindsey Wilson College. Since that time, she has worked with diverse populations within an outpatient community mental health setting, residential treatment facility, and domestic violence shelter.

Cassie is passionate about using her training and experience to help others tackle difficulties related to life transitions, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, addictions, sexuality, and self-acceptance. She strives to foster a safe, non-judgmental environment in which all individuals are free to explore their specific barriers to healing with gentle curiosity. She takes a Person-Centered approach to treatment that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices. Cassie affirms the mind-body-spirit connection as the anchor of health and wholeness. She focuses on self-compassion as one of the most powerful therapeutic tools, and the foundation upon which all other skills are built.

Cassie believes that each and every individual is capable of positive change, as long as they have the tools and support they need to access their own intuitive healing capacities. She has found that her greatest challenges in life were most effectively managed when she was able to tend to her “whole self,” and through connection with others who offered the support she needed to thrive.
