Stephanie Batts LPCC, NCC, IMHP

Therapist and Holistic Mental Health School Coordinator

Stephanie (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, as well as a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. She received an M.A. in Professional Counseling from McKendree University in Illinois, and recently received a post-graduate certificate in Couple’s Therapy. Stephanie began her career helping teens and their families in crisis situations. Later, she worked at a community mental health facility serving both mental health and substance abuse clients. She has worked with a diverse population of individuals, couples and families. Much of her experience has been working to help clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, sexuality issues and poor self-esteem. Stephanie is passionate about working with couples and families to enhance relationships through improving communication, connection, parenting skills and conflict management.Stephanie approaches each new client with an open mind and a desire to help them reach their own goals. Her hope is to create an accepting, comfortable, compassionate space for clients to feel safe sharing and exploring uncomfortable thoughts and difficult situations. She welcomes all individuals regardless of race, religion or sexuality to her office. Stephanie believes in a holistic approach and uses a combination of counseling techniques (brain spotting, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, meditation, solution focused, self-awareness, etc.) to tailor therapy to a client’s specific needs, strengths, and abilities. She also uses these techniques to deal with her own life stresses. She enjoys mindful walks, yoga, creating artwork, listening to music and reading to unwind and create positive energy in her own life.
